FAQs

What are different finishes for concrete?

Concrete can be finished in a variety of ways to suit your project. In a basement, a troweled finish gives it a smooth surface. On a sidewalk or garage floor, a broom finish provides more texture. Stamped concrete comes in a variety of patterns, including wood plank, brick, or textured. Check out our "Project" page for pictures of different finishes.

What colors can I get my concrete in?

Traditional gray concrete is only the beginning of what we can do. By using Color Rite Integral Concrete Color Dye we can do anything from light brown, sand, red or brick. Click here and here to view the color options available. Please note the colors shown are approximate and may not be exact.

What do you use to seal the concrete?

We like to use Boss Gloss Cure & Seal Clear Enhancer. Boss Gloss is a non-yellowing solvent-based 100% acrylic sealer. It creates a high gloss finish and can be used on any concrete surface including trowel, broom or decorative. Wen also use an antiquing sealer on some surfaces to enhance the look.  Resealing the surface is recommended based on surface wear.

What are the benefits of concrete countertops?

Concrete countertops are naturally scratch and stain resistant if sealed properly. They are custom built and can be created with a variety of colors, finishes, styles and edges. Concrete countertops will look great for years to come and the appearance only improves as they age.
